Are background checks required?
All you need is active car insurance with sufficient coverage [including collision], a driver's license, and a credit card.
Are there hourly rentals?
Absolutely. The minimum rental period is 2 hours. The maximum rental period is 7 days. If you'd like to rent for longer than 7 days, contact us for a custom rate.
Do you offer insurance?
Insurance is available for purchase. If you'd like to use your own insurance, please provide policy information as well as the contact information for your insurance agent 48 hours in advance of your pickup time so we can verify coverage.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of your reservation to receive a full refund. Any cancellations made within 24 hours of your rental will result in the forfeiture of your reservation fee via an in-house credit. This credit may be applied to a future reservation.
Do you require a security deposit?
A security deposit will be processed at pick-up. This fee will be refunded upon return of your vehicle free of damages. Minor scuffs and scrapes (which are relatively inexpensive to repair) can be billed to you directly on the payment card you use to process your security deposit if you'd like to avoid an insurance claim.
Where can I drive the car?
Rental cars can be driven in the Houston Metro area. Please refer to the Gulf Coast Exotic Rentals Agreement for more detailed instruction on operating procedures and prohibited uses. If you plan on traveling outside of the Houston Metro area, contact us for prior approval.
What age do I have to be to rent a car?
The Driver must be 25 years of age or older. An individual aged 18-24 may be a listed driver on the policy for an additional fee, however, the primary driver assumes full liability for all drivers listed on the rental agreement. Additional processing time may be necessary to ensure the Driver's insurance coverage is sufficient for additional drivers.
What are Insurance requirements?
Renters are required to provide proof of full coverage insurance (including collision insurance) that will extend to the rental vehicle. An insurance card and declaration page along with the contact information to your insurance agent must be provided 48 hours in advance in order to verify coverage amounts.
